Kippax Band play a free concert at Wetherby Riverside Bandstand

Kippax Band 

Join the Kippax Band at Wetherby Riverside Bandstand on 1 August at 2.30 pm for a free concert of popular band music.

Kippax has a history in brass banding dating back to the early 1800's. Closely linked to the mining industry, the band had mining connections until as recently as the closure of the Selby Coalfield in the early 2000’s. It is still classed as a mineworkers band.

The band is also closely connected to the local community who have, over the years, provided many players past and present. The band also provides its services to the community through parades, Church services and Council organised events.
