Nash Ensemble
The Nash Ensemble has received many accolades, including two Royal Philharmonic Society Awards in the chamber music category. This programme features the individual instrumentalists one by one, illustrating the unparalleled richness of wind music that has come out of France, where the tradition of writing for the woodwinds is taken very seriously. The evening culminates in Ravel’s Le Tombeau de Couperin for winds and the ensemble performing as a whole in Poulenc’s popular Sextet.
