Thomas Trotter - Birmingham City Organist

Dr Trotter has played in our concert series every year since his appointment as Birmingham City Organist in succession to Thalben-Ball as long ago as 1983. He honours our series annually with his presence and invariably brings music he has never played here before. In 2010, Thomas celebrates the art of Robert Schumann, born 200 years ago, and has programmed all of Schumann’s output we play normally on the organ – but devised by the composer originally for pedal-piano.
