Polianskayas’s remarkable range, richness of tone and softness of touch is often praised by critics.
Tatiana Polianskaya, born in 1978 into a family of Moscow musicians, displayed her interest in music at an early age. Her musical education started when she was four. After successfully completing her studies at the Moscow Conservatoire, she enrolled as a student of professors V. Kastelsky and A. Nasedkin at the piano department of the Conservatoire. In 2000 the young talented pianist completed her diploma at the International piano competition in Italy, winning the Raguza - Ibla Grand prize.
In 2002 Tatiana Polianskaya undertook a postgraduate course at the Moscow Conservatoire with professor A. Nasedkin. While still a student, she made her performing debut with the State Symphony Capella of Russia. She took part in the International Music Festival “Moscow Autumn” and in the International Music Festival in Florence (Italy) in 2003.
During the period 2003 - 2007 Tatiana Polyanskaya has appeared as soloist on tour in Taiwan, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy,Germany and Spain; she has performed the concertos of Shostakovich, Prokofiev and Tchaikovsky with the Symphony Orchestras of Novgorod and Tbilisi and the Moscow Symphony Orchestra.
Chandos released her CD of the works of Arensky (CHAN 10086) on which she performs “Fantasy on Ryabinin Themes” with the State Symphony Capella of Russia. She has also recently recorded Shostakovich’s First Concerto for the piano and trumpet.
